Both the summit as an image motif and the act of retouching are interpreted in various ways: The summits are „retouched“ literally and metaphorically speaking. The overlapping and combining of text descriptions, projections, material and bodies, transform existing images of different contexts into new collages and allow new interpretations. With the shifting of perspectives, leaving gaps and reframing, the act of the „mise-en-scène“ and the act of „showing“ becomes visible or even unmasked.

In two showings, Waltraud Brauner and Liv Schellander give an insight into the first rehearsal phase in the frame of their Tender Steps Residency.
